Rane Emerson, a 18-year-old rebel teen who moved from Phoenix, Arizona to the famed seaside town of Santa Carla finds it hard to be excited about trying to befriend people she doesn't know. Out of the many rumors her past friends had told her, she will soon find out that the nightlife on the boardwalk truly is her type of crowd...and that Santa Carla really is the "Murder capitol of the world".
