Brody Paulsen is a little bit bitter. He's a little bit cynical. He's also a little bit of a flirt. And he may be just a tiny bit cocky. But, he has good reason for all of those traits. After all, with a family situation like he has, it's hard not to be bitter and cynical; with a best friend who is the school's notiorious flirt, it's hard not to have some of that outgoingness rub off; and with a face like his and the broad shoulders and narrow waist of a 'flyer, well, most girls would say he has a reason to be cocky.
Now, add the spunky, compassionate, and competitive new girl from England, and it's going to make for an interesting rest of the school year, especially for Newton High's swim team.
But when the water that Brody's been treading starts to get deeper and the problems more difficult, he may just have to learn to let others help him stay afloat.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
