Kaara Lovero isn't the most loved person. She is a freak to both the town as well as all the adults in her family.
Nobody wants to be around her and she prefers it that way. She is a loner not only because most people despise her as she does them but she holds a deep secret and if she were to get too close to anyone then it would be in danger of exposure.
One day while trying to throw the popular, gossip girls off her trail she runs off to an old island, only to find a small underground cave that leads her to a beautiful and mysterious, hidden rainforest that she ends up getting lost in.
Will she find a way out, and more importantly, does she want to leave?

Okay, so I'm really bad at descriptions so here's my attempt at a small summary: Basically the protagonist of this story is searching for her friends little sister who's gone missing. Her search brings her to an unsavoury location, and the awful weather isn't helping her out much either. As she journeys deeper she soon realises that her suspicions were correct - an old 'friend' has returned, and this time they don't plan on letting our protagonist get away... So how was that?
