COMPLETED BOOK I was trained to be a weapon for the kingdom. I was forced into servitude to the King after my family was ripped from me. My new life was covered in the blood of my family...and now I had to protect the royal family who ordered my parents' death. They're all monsters, except for him...he was my charge and as much as I wanted to hate him, the prince was nothing like his vicious father. He was a warm light in my cold and dark world. I was supposed to be controlled, cold, calculating and deadly, but he made me crave freedom, warmth and all the things I thought died with my family. Dungeons speed up the gain in strength, they told him a long time ago, the only way to really become powerful, but Tibs won't let that stop him. So he learned as much as he could, and trained as hard as he could. and he made progress, Went from the bottom of Upsilon to somewhere in Rho in two decades. but he's now stuck, unable to push through the next step to advance. But he knows it's only a question of time until he can con his way into a dungeon and gain what he's missing. and he has time. those two decades barely saw him age a quarter of that, a young man, instead of a child. and he may be closer than he thinks. a mystery in a village leads to something unknown that could be the answer he's searching for if it doesn't kill him first.
Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
