1955 Osaka, Japan has seen the height of the Yakuza crime syndicate. The two major players--the Somatoka and the Gao family--of the Yakuza, are constantly warring. Yet turf wars seem to be a distant issue to Yu-an Motoko, even when the fists of men have been a predominant theme in her life. She has her own issues to deal with, like fitting into a community who ostracize her because of a white father. All her problems now seem trivial with the arrival of the gaijin enforcer, whose silence is more menacing than a gunshot. 
Based on the Netflix movie Outsider.
