A dental filling is a treatment that restores the integrity, the structures and the function of a tooth. This type of treatment may be required due to the result of external trauma or caries. To prevent the total loss of a tooth or teeth the bad area or cavity build-up on teeth must be removed and replaced. This can be done with a filling, which is also known as an onlay or inlay.
