Magic it turned out was real and we in our ignorance invited things from another place into our world and doomed old earth to destruction at the hands of things from fairy tales and nightmare. The sparks of a dying world landed across the stars and the fires of zealotry and intolerance have fueled a new crusade across the universe. The fires still burn but a colder tyranny now rules immortal and ever lasting. Minds eternally preserved by sorcery and technology reign over the far breadth of human progress. On the great Fortress Ark of Trinity deep in the black between stars a local celebrity and his lover are found dead with his mind and soul destroyed and it is up to the Trinity Constabulary's star Investigator Tatsuki McLauglin to find the culprit. The only problem is that the number of people out to kill her seems slightly out of proportion with the admittedly serious crime. Worse she has this little addiction problem, a pathological love life and internal affairs is getting a little too close for comfort. As the case unravels she might find herself worse than dead unless she can avoid being crushed between the sides of a deadly conspiracy. Now it is kill or be killed in a bloody tale of twisted desires, violence and intrigue.
