"- Il n'y avait pas grand-chose à dire sur moi. Sauf que je n'avais pas besoin d'eux. Ils ne savaient pas sur quel terrain ils s'aventuraient. Et je ne savais pas si je me réveillerai ou pas à la fin de ce rêve. Mais une chose était sûre. J'aurais dû tenir sa main plus forte. Je l'ai lâché. et quand j'ai ré-ouvert les yeux, il n'était plus là. Et moi, je suis morte."

Remember Me? [One-Shot] by KYUholic
2 parts Complete
Remember me? Few years ago... A night to remember. On a shallow road, with a seemingly never-ending rain pouring down heavily, and streetlights barely illuminating the place, silence seemed so right. It was an almost empty road but with two people. Few light rays hit them, making their silhouettes visible from afar. Drenched under the rain, the girl was standing like a statue. And in front of her was the boy, her long-term boyfriend. Her soul mate. The one she had been waiting for. But what is this? He smirked, finally breaking their silence. He told her 'it's over' so quickly, like they just played a game and she lost. He called it quits between her, and walked away without regret. His face, his gestures and his words were like spears stabbed into her soul. He didn't care. And being left alone, her shoulders shook and she covered her face with her hands as tears finally escaped from her eyes. Her knees felt numb and suddenly, she knelt down, still crying. Can you still remember me? I ask you this question. I was that girl few years ago. A fool, naïve girl who still believed that you're the one of the million. That I'm destined to only one man, a prince charming, and I believed it was you. But all of those were few years ago. My thoughts were changed. I began looking forward to an early death. The dream that I've always wanted to, a happy death, became impossible. How happy can I die, if forever, I will always carry and will not forget the memories and the pain you left me? But now my time has come. Time flew too fast. Few minutes more and I will leave Earth. Few short minutes more. I looked at the Seconds hand of the clock nearby. The clock is ticking. The time is running. I still have time to forgive you. Few more time to decide. But thinking about our past... will I still have the heart to forgive you to be able to achieve a happy death?

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. ✮⋆˙ 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞-𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐦✮ ⋆˙ "Get out," he says flatly. He pulls over on an empty road and stops. I look around, confused. There's nothing here but open fields stretching out in every direction. I stare at him, stunned. "What?" "Get out," he repeats, colder this time, not even looking at me. My heart pounds as I fumble with the door handle and step out onto the dusty road. The door slams shut, and within seconds, Vidyut drives off, leaving me standing alone in the middle of nowhere. I watch his car disappear, panic rising in my chest. There's no one here, just the wind rustling through the trees. I try to understand what just happened. I'm not some roadside girl he picked up. I come from a wealthy family, maybe not as rich as Vidyut's, but still respectable. And yet, I endure everything for my family. Now that they're gone, I feel lost-like I have no direction left, thats why Vidyut takes care of their business. How could he do this to me? Why would he abandon me here? Engines roar in the distance. A car comes into view, speeding toward me. My pulse quickens as it nears, and soon, I see the men inside. The car halts, and two men step out. One is tall, muscular, and has a stern, brooding expression. The other, equally tall, wears a charming smile, tattoos visible beneath his sleeves. They're the most attractive men I've ever seen. "Hey," the grumpy one says, his voice low and rough. He sounds irritated, yet still speaks to me, catching me off guard. "You lost or something?" ✿✿✿✿ "𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚-𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙞𝙣."

A few months ago, I bought a mug with gold gilt. On sale. Not a gift either nor because of an occasion to remember by it. Just plain, pretty mug for 15PLN. I drank my coffee from it since. I spat loose tea leaves into it. It never felt particularly significant. An ordinary object. Only when I lost it, I realised its true value. I sat comfortably at my desk one evening. Looking at my phone, I reached to take my song-text notebook. Trivial situation. My clumsy fingers were unable to avoid the mug. They allowed it to topple over, to slip from the desktop. Even though I did not see the split-second occurrence, I felt the pressure of unease. My head painted the trajectory of the fall on its own, the shattering, spillage. The loss. For a millisecond I still had hope, that I would be able to catch the mug, that I would be able to avoid what was about to happen. But I knew I was headed for failure. I don't have any superpowers. I only scalded my fingers. I looked at the mug's new shape for a long while, at the shattered pieces. At the spilling liquid. Our adventure came to an end. Irrevocably. I won't be drinking coffee from it anymore, nor spit tea leaves into it. Well. I shouldn't be sad, it was just a regular mug, just like thousands of others. I grew to like it, it kept me company throughout hundreds of warm drinks. I lost it. I hate this feeling the most. In the moment when I am losing something, I stop in my tracks, I hold my breath. It is always a very intense moment. A short one, but one that gives me the tight unpleasant feeling in my stomach. The feeling of loss is always accompanied by hope. Silly and naïve. Making me believe so strongly, that I can make it. That I will still be able to catch the mug mid-flight. When the feeling is entering the body, crawling into me I realise, how important it was to me. Whether it's Nivan or a stupid mug with gold gilt.

I got more and more annoyed as he drove up, parked and unmounted his bike. He pulled off his helmet and shook his head, noticing me there staring at him. We just stared at each other, neither moving, neither speaking. He started to make his way up his driveway, not even bothering with a greeting, so I called out to him. "Hey! Where've you been?" I tried not to sound accusatory or angry, and I succeeded. Though I sounded more hurt than anticipated. He stopped and walked towards me. He walked kind of slowly, like he was trying to avoid me. I stood on the steps, fighting the urge to walk towards him so we could talk. Never ever did I think I'd want to talk to him, yet here I was. Once in front of me he stayed at the bottom step, not climbing up further. He said nothing and I repeated my question once again, "Where have you been?" He shifted then just replied with "Out." "Out?" I repeated, getting refueled with annoyance. "That's it? You've been missing all day and all you have to say is you were out?" "Fuck, dude, what are you, my mom? I was out! Are you trying to keep tabs on me or something?" I was angry at him, and started to feel feelings towards him that I haven't felt in months. I stepped down two steps to look at him eye level, ready to argue with him. But, rather than open my mouth to fight, I found myself staring at his tired gaze and freezing for a moment. I didn't want to fight with him, and I saw he didn't want to fight with me-at least, that was my hope. I let my glare fall and closed the distance between us, wrapping my arms around him in the tightest hug I could muster. He seemed shocked, remaining rigid in my arms until I quietly muttered, "I was worried about you, jackass," into his neck. He just sighed before relaxing and hugging me back.
