Katherine Valentina Casales is heartbroken and empty when her grandmother dies and loses her will to play music or sing again because she feels guilty due to a fight the two had just before her grandmother passed away. Now she and her childhood best friend Miguel journeys to the land of the dead to apologise to Katherine's grandmother. But an old enemy is seeking revenge on Miguel and the Rivera family and will do anything to make sure neither the boy or his friend return home.
