Kioko Toyotomi is an Japanese girl who has been raised in South Korea her whole life. Her parents warned her about the dangers of the supernatural, but doesn't truly believe them until her and her best friend Hiraki Hanari get attacked by werewolves and are saved by two very attractive vampires, Jungkook and Namjoon. In trade for them saving their lives, they become their human familiars, humans that they feed on from time to time to prevent spot hunting (feeding off of random strangers). They bring them back to their coven, where the girls meet the others of the group, several of which put Kioko and Hiraki at ease.
Jungkook is nervous and afraid. He is trying to put a strong front on for the rest of his coven, but the vampire hunters are multiplying and the werewolves are becoming stronger. He needs someone to help him through these tough times, but he doesn't know where to look...until he meets Kioko. He finds her to be strong and determined, a trait he strives to have himself but doesn't know how to find it. He believes Kioko will know how and he greatly needs her help.
Kioko and Jungkook have to work together to protect the coven, even if it means that the two species have to form an unlikely alliance to save them all.
