Life has never been easy for Brogan Peters. She doesn't feel like she can count on anyone. Getting deceived by the people who're supposed to support her is becoming increasingly harder to her. 

Retreating to herself and writing letters to the people who deceived her is the only way she can face these struggles and get it together once for all. But how can she ever think of forgiveness when all she gets is a general lack of trust of other people as well as herself?

Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Her skin is cold, but she flips her palm for more contact. I lace our fingers. It's enough to make her look at me. As those kaleidoscopic eyes meet mine, I hold my breath.
