Child's play isn't so simple anymore.
It's 1986. Nancy Reagan is President and the hot new pastime is Arcade Adventure Gaming, where players explore the Realm of Vircon in parties. Kids compete to top leaderboards in the four US Regional Divisions, trying for a shot at prizes and scholarships. Recently, a handful of players have gone missing.
The old guy in the van almost kills Wyatt Jackson but a robot straight out of Doctor Who knocks them both out. When Wyatt wakes up, he's stuck in the Realm of Vircon game. As he meets the rest of his Party they discover that their would-be kidnappers are in there with them.
Can they evade their enemies and convince the mysterious force running the game to let them log out and go home?

In order to force citizens to remain peaceful after the riots about birth control, the massive country of Americo decided to allow scientists to stimulate the afterlife once they die. If a citizen was good and broke no laws, then the scientists would stimulate Heav, the equivalent to Heaven. If a citizen broke a few minor laws, they would go for Rebirth, where they are born with the same personality and mind, just different looks. If a citizen goes to jail for more than 15 years, the scientists would stimulate Ell, the equivalent to Hell. Lorian Hurando, director of the Afterlife Project, knows things about the system that few people know about. But when a letter arrives in the ocean of death threats one day that tells him to 'retire' or he will be in grave danger, he took the chance and retired. The letter is one in a series of letters that is all from a mysterious sender initialed H in cursive. When the final letter tells him to shut down the Afterlife, he must decide between right and wrong. But first he must know which is which. Heather Dia is the daughter of a store manager. When her dad is falsely accused and is sent to Ell, she is heartbroken and decides to get revenge on Director Lorian and leads him on a wild goose chase in order to shut down Afterlife, telling him that he will be in grave danger. But as time progresses, Heather wonders if she'll be right.Complete

Crossing over into the world of Cyberpunk 2077 should be an opportunity to make a big splash... Wait, hold on, isn't this the year 2075? Sure, it's already November, and 2076 is just around the corner, but I only know about what happens in 2077! In this world, you might not want to live, but you can't afford to not have a job. Anyway, let's start by becoming a mercenary and picking up gigs. That sounds simple enough, but getting a job from a fixer only to face off against an ACPA (Armored Combat Personal Assist) right off the bat-aren't we going a bit overboard here? And who's this daughter of Michiko Arasaka? I've only seen the demo; I don't know these people! What kind of chaotic mission is this!?

Three years before the events of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, a former Nomad named Michael used to work alone as a Solo. However, that changed when a Gig gone wrong led to him joining none other than Maine's crew. After running with the crew for some time, he ends up putting himself in mortal peril to save his crew. Seven years later, in the year 2081, he is reawakened by the Arasaka Corporation in an unfamiliar mechanical body, and learns that everyone he once cared about is gone, including his mainline. With the love of his life taken from him, Michael has lost the one thing he had left to live for, so he vows to get revenge against Arasaka, and to kill Adam Smasher, the Merc who murdered his mainline in cold blood. In his fit of rage, he meddles in affairs he shouldn't have, and inadvertently causes a breach in the Blackwall, leading to a demonic AI cult known as the Tenebrium Collective breaching the new Net, and posing a threat all of humanity.
