A young boy is left at the steps of the wizard guild Fairytail. He grows up with everyone there, they are is his family. Each day he tries and tries again to use magic like his friends, but he cannot seem to use it. The guild master; Makarov brings in an old friend to detect his magic, but all the boy sees is eyes of horror, and tears; he cannot use magic.
