The Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley was owned by Owen and Mandy Brevis, who worked there along with their daughter Elodie. Of course people would expect Elodie to have a bond with animals as she practically grew up with them, but no one could ever imagine how strong it actually was.

Elodie was a magizoolinguist - a term that meant she could speak to and understand not only animals, but also magical creatures. It was a trait very few possessed and could only be passed through genes. It was an ability that frightened quite a few, so it was decided that no one outside of family was to know about it.

That is until a certain red-head caught her speaking to an owl and could not get over the fact that she sounded exactly like his owl, Errol.
