The tension that girded my shoulders like a cloak fell away, my lips tugging upward in an easy smirk. It was electrifying, I could feel the heat of the arena beneath my feet yet at the same time, I felt strangely detached. I allowed myself to revel in the moment, tentatively holding onto it as though it were a fragile bird ready to fly away at the drop of a pin.

My opponent stood at the far end, clothed in leather garments such as I had, only she wore a pauldron of burnished bronze, intricate designs too small for me to see carved upon its surface. There were no weapons between us, and I was thankful for that. I knew that would come later, however.

This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. Her hands clutched her dress as she looked down. I placed my both hands each side of her head on the wall and caged her. She was terrified to be in that position. "Move back. What are you doing" Turning her face to a side she pushed me with both hands but I didn't budge. Instead I held her nape of the neck and yanked her face. I looked in to her eyes drowning into them. She punched my chest with her small fist to free herself from my hold. But I held her more tightly giving her more pressure on her neck which made her frown in pain. Tears were rolling down from her eyes wetting her chubby cheeks. She was trying her best to push me back but I yanked her face further and captured her lips. Her soft juicy lips against my dark rough one. Now she was struggling more to release herself, hitting my shoulders and pushing me continuously. But I was lost in her strawberry like lips. Tasting them and punishing them I was loosing my control as my other hand snaked around her waist which she tried to remove immediately. Her lips were warm and inviting me to explore more and more. Tilting her head to a side I deepened the kiss looking for an entrance. But she sealed her lips in to a thin line blocking me away. Nibbling her lower lip with mine I demanded for an entrance but she remained the same which made me frustrated. I removed my hand from her neck and held jaw and squeezed her cheeks. Her mouth pouted and I entered in to her devouring each corner inside. The need for her increasing each passing second and she was struggling hard to stop whatever I am doing with her. Her hard punches landed on my chest now and she was trying to push my face away. Suddenly I felt her movements stopped I loosed my grip on her and she collapsed in my arms. I was lost in the kiss and didn't realize she was out of her breath.

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.

What will happen when he comes to know her real identity? Will he be able to stop himself in time from falling or will she have to face his wrath for hiding the truth. __________ "Do you believe in love?" He whispered in her ears making her jump. He was close, no, too close. She could feel his breath and hear her heart beat pounding very fastly. She took a few steps back to get her personal space secured. "You scared me." "Sorry, that was unintentional and I did not know that you are that weak." He smirked at her. "I am not weak.. That..." she saw him taking a step towards her. She gulped and then continued. ".. is a..." Another step. ".. normal.." One more step closer. ".. reaction." Another step. By now, he was again within her personal space. "I think we should go and see if Natey is done with her books." She whispered and laughed nervously and turned back only to be hold and pulled back to a hard chest. He had purposely swirled her along with him, changing their position. His front was dangerously touching her back. "It's a weak who always run away showing back." He whispered in her ears, his breaths touching her neck. His hands were placed just below her breast and touching most of her abs part. ___________________________________________________________________________ This is my first attempt at writing.
