Fable(Volume 1)

(Prelude) (Walking down a dimly lit dark road covered in blood) “My name…I can’t remember, but over the years I picked up a new one -- Fable. I’ve been mistaken for the age seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, but I’m really somewhere between 500 and 550. I clasped on a light post, viewing the vacant street. I’ve been walking miles covered in priest blood. In my defense they were possessed. Its hard to explain, I’ve been hunting biblical creatures for about 400 years now. Its my mission, what I was eventually forced to do. I was born to protect God’s name.
There are many who do as I, but none are like me. We are a special group of people called Prayers. We kill the spirits, the essences, and the thoughts of demons. Plus anyone angel who turns on god or is cast down from heaven. The reason no one is like me because I harbor a demon in my body.
A car slowed to a stop beside me. The window rolled down to reveal a women sitting in driver’s seat. “Wouldn’t happen to a know a Fable, now would you?” The lady spoke in calm voice. “I am Fable.” I answered. “Good, I’ve been looking for you all night. Get in,” her voice was slightly demanding, but somehow it was also soft and inviting.
