Preeminence.

The word was our only God, our religion we held on zealously to never let go. The word was the doctrine of life that guided us, faithfully until our very end.

Preeminence was law; punishment awaited those who believed otherwise. Sins, sinful, the beings were. To be flawed was unethical, and scarred, unrighteous.

Preeminence was man's sole obsession.
