They are 18 year old twins who speak Italian and are surfing from potato famine, there parents were killed because of religious persecution, and live in Vatican City. So the twins have planned to leave and go to America so they will not have the same fate as their family. Giulia has planned to go for 2 months,and finally has gotten Luigi's approval, and they have scraped up just enough money for 2 ship rides to Ellis island and a little less than a hundred extra for food. But only had a few things to bring with, and family already moved up there 2 months ago.
