For Destrey Helyer, life hasn't always been easy. Her parents work for the CIA and are never around, she's constantly being forced to watch over her six year old sister Louna, and she's been living in the shadow of her british rockstar cousin, Max Helyer, for as long as she can remember.

When Destrey's father goes MIA on a top-secret mission, her mother sends her to live under the protective care of her aunt and uncle in Weybridge, Surrey. The only problem is that she will now have to live in the same town as her cousin Max-who just happens to be the rhythm guitarist in the popular British, Alternative Rock band, You Me at Six. Living in England gives Destrey a chance to re-invent her life. She soon befriends Riley-a quirky, blond-haired girl in her year-and finds herself getting to know her cousin more and more.

But just when life seems to get better for Destrey, things take a turn for the worse. Whilst attending one of Max's band's concerts, she's attacked by a group of spies-the same group of spies that abducted her father, and are now looking to get ahold of the only thing that will make him give them what they want-his two young daughters. After being rescued by Max's band-mates, Destrey soon finds herself in a world of lies, deceit, and danger-and maybe a little romance too.
