Aqua is just another 15 year old teenager. She is transitioning from Middle School to High School, worrying about the many obstacles she'll have to face: Grades, a social life, and being separated from her friends. Except there's one problem: although she has a good amount of friends, she's still very socially awkward. She worries that anyone she talks to thinks negative thoughts about her, judging every single aspect to herself.
With her new life in high school, she thinks branching out and talking to more people is just what she needs. But...she doesn't really know how to do this. And when a boy sits next to her, she can't help but wonder why he wants to talk to her. Was it a dare? Did he laugh at her behind her back? She isn't sure.
Her mom also forced her into babysitting the one family she wants nothing to do with. But surprisingly she figures out the story behind a past bully's life, just to find that everyone has a different story. Aqua finds herself through this moving story of romance, loyalty, and self-confidence.
