*DISCLAIMER:This is a fanfic of Gena Showalter's awesome book series the White Rabbit Chronicles and a spinoff of an interesting story I found on here called Unmarked by the user @rain_bows123. I only own these characters and the plot of the fic, not the ideas of Gena or Belle!*

The year is 3018, and the Decay is here. More advanced than anything humanity has faced. The Decay has no mercy. The Decay does not take prisoners.
Liam is a Slayer, an elite solider against those possessed by the Decay, or better known as zombies. He was ushered into this life by death and loss. But, he's not complaining. The status and bonds he's forged are worth it. Not to mention the opportunity to slaughter a zombie or two while he's at it. He's worked hard to put his past behind him and build a wall against the trauma of his past. But all that crumbles when a certain childhood friend reenters his life. And what she brings with her could be more terrifying than any zombie.
Jinx has been locked away, psychologically tortured, and pumped full of drugs. Why? Even she doesn't know. In fact, she doesn't seem to remember much of anything, including how she escaped her personal Hell. She certainly doesn't remember the nature behind the tattoo that matches Liam's. But, now, reunited with her childhood friend, who has turned into something she fears more than the Decay, she can regain her precious memories.
In a world of gray and destruction, corruption and demise, is it possible for a forgotten prophecy to change it all?
