Paris 1889. A time of colour and excess; Parisians flock to the Moulin Rouge, the Chat Noir. Toulouse-Lautrec paints La Goulue dancing the can-can. The Eiffel Tower is completed, the Exposition comes to Paris - this is a time when magic is making way for science. But then there comes a boy; a silent, beautiful, damaged boy with a terrible secret and an incredible gift – he can fly. For a year he amazes the whole of Paris, he becomes a celebrity, until the people begin to be afraid of his gift, and criminals seek to exploit him. But Laurent doesn't care… he’s fallen in love.
