When medieval geek and fantasy writer Aspen Rivers trips and knocks over semi-popular Victoria Allister on the first day of eighth grade, she's certain she's made an enemy for life. Victoria is everything Aspen is not - pretty, popular, and most importantly, straight. Of course, it's no surprise that Aspen falls for her anyway. Desperate for an emotional outlet, Aspen pours her feelings into a story unlike any other. Soon enough it's difficult to tell writing from reality, and when the first chapter ends up online - and readers eat it up - Aspen and Victoria's story is spread across the internet, thinly disguised as a love story between a princess and her tomboyish knight.

Aspen doesn't regret a second of her writing.

Victoria doesn't regret a second of her choices.

Victoria Nilsen is pretty known for being a troublemaker in her school. The last problem she was involved in; an argument with another senior that ended up with her punching him two times, caused her a last warning. If she didn't start behaving, she would be expelled from the school. For a chance to redeem herself and also make up for low grades, Victoria is assigned to do a history assignment; but what will she do when her partner on this project ends up being the girl she's had a long rivalry with? Even though Amani Santos is recognized for her looks and attractiveness, it doesn't take from the fact she is quite popular for her intelligence, as she stays on the top of her class in almost every subject. Despite the fact her notes are almost perfect, there is one problem. She has been getting a lot of F's in history. It might not appear as serious for some, but Amani needs to get straight A's, knowing the consequences she would get in other cases. After talking with her history teachers about what she could do to compensate for her grades, she is assigned to do a project with Victoria Nilsen. Amani doesn't hate anyone, anyone but Victoria Nilsen. She's the only one capable of making her blood absolutely boil. What will happen after they are forced to not only aproach eachother, but also to work together to save both of their school problems? Will they continue their longing rivarly and finally see eachother as humans or maybe the hatred between them will grow even more?

What happens when these two are put right next door to one another? Lexi is a young, beautiful senior whose past has forced her to grow up quicker than most. From losing her father, to being moved into another man's house at her mother's desire, to being outed to the entire high school... she's built up some pretty thick skin. When her path crosses with a woman who is pushing through a quickly-deteriorating marriage, there is a connection made that cannot be ignored. Lexi fills a void in Evan with her constant willingness to give and satisfy, while Evan is slowly patches up the holes that other's have left in Lexi along the road. The complications with their relationship are numerous: a marriage, age, unaccepting parents, and the fact that the two are in the same high school every day of the week. If at all, how can two individuals with their own personal struggles overcome these obstacles to get to one another?
