This is a fraction of my Nanorwimo piece. In a futuristic earth overrun by machinery and the destruction of nature we meet the author and librarian who finds a portal to a different yet oddly similar world along with her friend Silver. They are thrown into the chaos of the parallel world's struggles for survival and power as they try to return to and save their own withering planet.
