Supes is a book about five young normal Americans. Each very different. Different look. Different background. Different personalities. And different gifts. As we explore the talents of each "Supe", we realize that they are not as normal as they seem. They each have a special gift or ability that makes them super. A gift that is deemed significant to the country. So significant that it must be harnessed for our worthy military, with or without consent of those who are super. Will these Supes ever live up to their extroadinary potential? Will the corrupted government and its totalitarian darkness prevail? Or will light shine from five unexpected sources to save mankind?

"I've tried telling them I'm only fifteen. That no sane government would force a boy my age to fight crime. 'But Max, you're a superhero! Isn't this what you want?' Actually, no. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). A Guide to Being Super
Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful.
