It has been one year since the Complex of Heaven has wiped out the majority of the League. Vestra, a new foe who has the power of energy manipulation, has risen from the shadows of the dark world without the League. Vestra has done the thing few villains before her have accomplished. She has taken over the world. During the League's absence she has created the perfect world of peace,  controlling leaders everywhere and creating an Earth to her vengeful liking. 

However, Bruce Wayne, one of the last survivors of the Complex's attack, has been hiding in the shadows waiting for the precise moment to strike against Vestra and her mind controlled Young Justice army to take his revenge. Though the year in hiding has been tough, he is more determined than ever to kill the roots of injustice that grip his world. He will stop Vestra and will do whatever it takes, no matter the price. 

***This is the sequel of the book, "The Malignant Uprising," taking place after The Malignant Uprising events. Note that I would read The Malignant Uprising first because this is more of a sequel, but don't feel like you have to. I don't own any of the characters or images in this story. An alternate ending to the 2013 movie Man of Steel using characters from The Dark Knight, Batman vs Superman and the movie Fight Club I thought Man of Steel was great But watching Superman kill Zod and make his race extinct, seemed as excessive as the destruction of Metropolis The original alternate ending (the 1st draft of part 1) was the typical farm-boy meets Kryptonian girl and saves the day by proving to Zod that humans have redeeming qualities. It was only when I thought about what would happen to the narrator, Tyler Durden, after Zod made peace with Earth & Kal El, that I could see the potential for a real story. I should give advance notice to the readers who may be expecting a series of dramatic SuperHero versus SuperVillain fights, this is an anti-super, anti-hero story as it is told from the perspective of a regular-guy weaving his way through a Meta-Human conflict while keeping his eyes on the prize: (Faora Ul). Logically, the story focuses mainly on 'human' characteristics of the Superhero/Villain characters as well as developing DC-Comic's 'C-Listers' (Martha Kent/Lois Lane/Nathan Hardy/Perry White) into characters who are central to the storyline. Rated Mature for: Profanity Adult situations (no sex) Violence Smoking Ps: I use Italics to identify the narrator's inner monologue as well as distinguish dream sequences and other breaks from the narrative's reality, in addition to using italics for emphasis. They stared at each other for a long moment before Bruce finally said, "We fight for justice, not vengeance. If you allow yourself to sink down to that place, you may never come back. It will kill you if you keep on fighting to avenge things that have not even happened yet" Nico stared at his father, the rage that had been boiling underneath his skin every second since he had woken up back in November began to break through the surface. He took off his domino mask and tossed it onto the table, making sure that Bruce had to look at his eyes-- the ones that no longer resembled the fourteen year old that Bruce had once asked to join his family.
