Life was calm for Elezabeth once she settled down. She lived a simple life, farming and providing for her son Jayrid, after her husband's passing.
Everything is turned upside down when her house is burned down and Jayrid is stolen to become fodder for the King's Army. She has to find him before he's damaged beyond repair, turned into an unfeeling, cruel soldier of destruction. Her quest takes her across the country, meeting people she never expected and isn't quite sure if she should trust.
But she'll need all the help she can get once she declared war on the King in order to reclaim her son. It will be a battle to go down in history.
