Ever since she became the first person to ever complete the Zone Test, Sofia's life has been flipped upside down. She's the focus of the nation, the star of propaganda, and the face of the Zone Test- and, unfortunately, its many casualties. When she gets the chance to leave her life of providing data to the testers and join up with the rebel group 10,000, she takes it. A new world much like the test opens up to her- a world of danger, adventure, and rebellion. With her family at stake, will Sofia manage to stay hidden from the notorious military group the Freedom Eagles? Can she keep her adopted younger sister Eliza safe? And, most of all, can she overcome when the Zone Test comes back to haunt her?

I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away.
