Maddie would like nothing more than to graduate high school and get away from the popular drones that make life a living hell for her. She want's desperately to move out of her house and away from a mother that emotionally abuses her daughter. Things seem to be heading in the right direction until she crosses paths with Alex, the lead singer of For Better Reason and the most popular guy in school. Alex is cocky, arrogant, and yet has a sweet side to him. In a roller coaster ride full of emotional twists and turns, Maddie discovers plans are made to be broken and that things are not always as they seem.
