Star is a fifteen year old girl who has been stuck with adult responsibilities of taking care of her three younger siblings while her mother is an alcoholic and is usually passed out. Her father leaves them when she was around eight. Then her mother brings in a new guy, Jackson. Star thought her world would change for the better but its just the opposite. And now she is being accused of the murder of Jackson.
Star had to go into Foster Care and separated from her sibling. Even though she misses them all like crazy she falls for the boy who lives at the home. Hayden has his own dark past but Star finds him adorable and falls head over heels for him. Can the two of them make it or will they too be separated from not trusting and believing in one another.
