Clive, a 17 year old teenager, is 2 weeks away from his 18th birthday. He lives in Stanton, a small town with townsfolk that are decidedly not human. From when he was young, special traditions and ceremonies filled his life, the rarest one being the Matching ceremony. As his ceremony approaches, Clive wonders if an Artificial like him is even matched. And if he is, will he be able to experience the strange emotion people call love?
