Lucy West is a teenage hit woman with a dark past. Her father abused her and her mother for ten years before Lucy made her first kill: her father. Her mother turned to drugs to cope with the loss of her husband. She soon overdosed, leaving Lucy as a thirteen year old orphan. Lucy's grandfather took her under his wing for three years until he too passed away. She fights through life pushing everyone away, until someone else comes into her life. Hayden Wells is a teenage soccer player from a perfect family. His father was the sheriff of their small town, while his mother is an aspiring artist. Hayden has devoted his live to protecting his tween little sister, playing soccer, and his hidden passion: photography. Hayden always sees the best in people, and he especially saw it in Lucy. When they run into each other in an alley while Lucy was completing a job, Hayden was too confused to do anything but hear Lucy out. He finds that she is living in a studio apartment and offers her a place to stay. With much reluctance, Lucy agrees to live with the Wells family. Hayden introduces Lucy to whole new world. One without pain and death. Its a world full of new love, happiness, and a foreign concept to Lucy: hope.
