Sixteen year old Caramel Blue is funky, wacky, and downright batty. Despite taking photos of the peculiar (noses are her favorite), getting her daily dose of grape juice, and walking her three legged cat on a leash, Caramel just doesn't understand why no one will talk to her - what's so odd about all that? High school itself is no easy journey, being homeschooled all her life, but she tries not to think about that. She's the only one in her small town that dances to the wayward beat of her own drum... or so she thinks. As her mother, desperate for her daughter to be like the neighbors' girls, pushes her to mingle and settle in with the people of Strawberri Jahm Street, Caramel comes to realize there's more to this sleepy town than she first expected, and she can't wait to find out all their stories. 

But there are some that don't want their stories being told.
