Anika Ren, a twenty four year old gets a call about what might be a suspected dog fighting operation. She checks it out, and all of a sudden, she has a case on her hands. She works for the Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit at one of the many SPCA of Texas centers. She will face challenges, at home and in the office, have her heart toyed with, and fall in love with a pit bull mix's smile.
