I didn't until I met my second mate at a party thrown for his return and learned that second place for a being does actually exist. It all went well being with my mate until my first mate came back, wanting nothing but to get me back. This angered my mate and now two strong wolves go against each other, all because of me. It was pure chaos, thus almost making two very close packs turn into enemies caused by the madness. But yet, I refuse to believe in second mates. They just can't possibly exist, it's just a big luck for us.
