Turquoise has always been a loyal seawing, she was the queen's servant after all. She always did what was right, until she met him. Nothing was the same afterward. Everything was ruined.

Watermark has never seen anyone but his parents. He's always wanted to explore the outside world and never come back to his tiny little hut hidden in the rainforest. One day he was sick of doing nothing all day and went out to explore the rest of the rainforest, and that's where it all went wrong.

𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙧, 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙨... Decades of wars and unrest have clawed at the sides of Pyrrhia's dragons for as long as they can remember, and the tales of true peace and dragonets of prophecy are simply whispers of the past. Shrike has never been regarded by his tribe as a real SkyWing. His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a prescient warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. That coupled with a newfound power in his claws leaves him spiraling and wondering one question: could 𝘩𝘦 be the terror of talons? ✦ Please read the introductory pages! They will be EXTREMELY informative for understanding the basics of Pyrrhia's situation and the timeline leading up to this story. Consider leaving a vote if you enjoy this story! Constructive criticism and other comments are always welcome.

But when she is launched into a new mission, things start to turn around. Meeting a fellow SeaWing-RainWing hybrid; confronting an old dragonethood foe; facing "freezing" and unexpected surprises in unexpected places (and dragons); the final confrontation with her employer, and.....herself...... A FLOWER SOFT, YET DEADLY.... Blossom-white RainWing-SeaWing hybrid assassin. Seastorm-blue-green SeaWing-RainWing assassin. Venus-green, yellow-brown LeafWing-HiveWing hybrid. Hare-purple-blue IceWing princess. Majestic-pink-gold-green SilkWing-RainWing hybrid. WARNING: "Mild" gore and possibly mentions of death. This is my first fanfic, so go easy! Enjoy! ~Book One of Power of Destiny~ *Seastorm is supposed to be Monsoon, but I'm too lazy to redo it. (Previously #1 in Fanchild) Note: Kudos to @macbook555 for coming up with the prophecy!
