Tongkat Ali is a plant native to Southeast Asia. Tongkat Ali belongs to the genus of Simaroubaceae and its botanical name is Eurycoma longifolia. There is another series of country-specific names given to the plant such as Pasak Bumi, which is how the plant is called in Indonesia, or longjack, the most common generic name for Tongkat Ali in the United States, Canada and Australia.
