It was 1276 AD in the village of Oakheart. The village was ruled by the hated queen Anastasia Dancelli who seemed more worried about her own self benefit over the entire kingdom.
Anastasia ruined the peace that was once inside the kingdom. She no longer allowed people to enter the kingdom as they liked. Instead, they could only leave if they were granted proper permission (and the queen rarely ever gave anyone permission).
Soon the only way you could enter the village was if you were born in it and, if you were born in it you were stuck in it till the day you died. The last time somebody left the kingdom was for an exploration that would only benefit the queen.
The population of Oakheart was declining at an alarming rate. No matter how many people would campaign to change the rules, there was no prevail. Anastasia could always overrule the people who had any say in the issue.
Many villages, including Oakheart, had inhabitants of people with power. Anyone with power was to either be executed of sent of to the village of Rendinton to be tested on. The people who organized the tests believe that destroying other will build our crumbling society up.
No matter how hard the officials would try to locate and destroy every person with power, they were never able to. The people who had developed powers were smart and would try their best to blend in with society.
