When Lana Thorne's brother is captured by the apartheid they live under, she has no choice but to abandon her life under the radar to save him.

But the Myrans' military might is far stronger than that of the rebel Brotherhood her brother was a part of.

Lana needs someone else's help - someone she's not even sure exists as more than a ghost of the past. The legend who lead with regal strength, the warrior who was a war machine on the battlefield and a strategic mastermind in the office, the myth who none of her allies dare to talk about anymore; the man whose loyalty her brother would tell her stories about.

That is, until he betrayed them to the enemy.

But to save the life of the brother who was there for her when even her own flesh and blood abandoned her, Lana is willing to risk anything. Including her own.

{COMPLETED} The stars disappeared seventeen years ago. A black night sky has mirrored a bleak existence for the people of Auros. The Gifted, humans with unique abilities to affect the world around them, have all but become extinct thanks to the dark reign of a usurper. And somehow Zephyr Elvy has managed to live her nineteen years in the blissful quiet of a small town next to the sea. Zephyr has always been content to keep to herself, and happy to live a simple, if uneventful, life. If only the universe had that in mind for her. Forced to flee the only place she has ever called home, Zephyr finds herself running through a world she has only ever read about, along with two soldiers who have deserted their posts to keep their consciences clean. With only a letter and a mysterious weapon as clues to why she's being hunted, Zephyr must face her own fears while discovering a whole new world of terrors at the hands of a queen she knows next to nothing about. Having never risked anything her entire life, Zephyr is forced to choose between apathy or action, hiding and keeping to herself, as she has always done, or taking a leap that could change the world she is just now getting to see. ***** Thank you SO MUCH for reading! I'm updating every Monday until this story is done, and I've been sitting on this one for almost three years so I'm really excited to finish it! I don't have any beta readers for this as I write, so please let me know if you notice anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that needs fixing! :)

34 parts Complete

Ryla is being hunted for a murder she committed with a magic she didn't know she had. The stories Ryla's been told about those who possess dangerous magic, the Woven, and the brave rebellion that destroyed them, are all she's ever known. Magic is illegal, and their beloved leader, the Prestige, hunts down those left in hiding for the protection of the kingdom. Ryla fears the Woven just as much as the next common-born ... until she finds out she's one of them. After accidentally killing one of the Prestige's men with magic, Ryla uses the only escape plan available- hiding in the wagons of the Caravan, a motley crew of performers and tradesmen. But the Caravan has its own secrets and Ryla begins to glimpse another world beneath the lies she's been told her whole life. The Caravan takes her to a refuge, but even amongst the Woven, Ryla is an outcast. Her magic is unpredictable, sometimes resulting in disaster. When the Prestige gets wind of her whereabouts, Ryla must leave the safe-haven and learn to fight back. If Ryla cannot begin to trust in herself and in the criminals she's always feared, it may bring ruin to them all.
