Whereas Rangiku is all legs, orangish hair, and big breast, Aki is petite, a brunette, and has a flat chest. Aki is...well basically everything Rangiku isn't... (Except for the same short temper and bluntness)... When Aki is transferred over to her cousin's squad she finds herself the tenth division captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya. The two immediately recognize each other from a somewhat embarrassing way they met before she was transferred. Rangiku then notices that the two of them are a perfect match and does a lot to help her cousin out, even if Aki doesn't want it. Especially since the fire zanpakuto user's frozen heart, makes it difficult for her to become friends with people. Although will Toshiro be able to defrost the frozen fire?

This story has meant so much to me, as does the show and the characters. It's given me a renewed interested in fandom, and writing again. To anyone who has read this. Thank you. They were close but Ichigo moved closer. He was still holding Byakuya's arm, but now he was chest to chest with him. He felt his heart pounding in his chest and his stomach was in knots and all of these feelings and doubts were abrupt and dangerous and he felt the thrill of it all sing in his heart. He leaned closer and whispered quietly in to his ear. "What do I do when I'm afraid, Byakuya?" Byakuya must have sensed the change in the air. He grew still and answered as best he could. "You fight," he whispered back, unsure of what was happening. Ichigo moved slightly, back into Byakuya's line of sight. The Captain of the 6th Squad almost moved a step back, as he had seen that look on Ichigo's face before; a sword held in his hand and a desperate need to fight. The problem is that Toshiro was never able to make friends easily and his only relationships prior to becoming a Shinigami were his foster sister Momo, his granny and Kusaka from the academy. If he had just one friend things would be very different, but the writers always forget this fact. I asked myself what solution would I come up with and it was to create an acquaintance who has a crush on Toshiro but was always to shy to approach him. This also said, she's also they kind of girl that is very likely not to have her feelings reciprocated by the boy she likes.Complete
