A girl named Adellyn Augustin in the 19th century faces family and societal pressure to conform to the 'Victorian Woman' ideology.
Adellyn has other plans.
Upon receiving professional praise for her writing skills by her city's newspaper, a whole world of opportunities open up for her. The ability to leave her family who continually belittle her and a chance to provide for herself and most importantly, the chance to be owned by no one.
The only dilemma.
Adellyn did not publish under her name.
From Adellyn's skill came the birth of her pseudonym,
