Mara Killian has let her father dictate her entire life. She's been set to take over as head of the New York branch of her father's company, MK Enterprises, for years. While she was earning her degree, Mara's younger brother was running the company.

But a shocking scandal forces Mara to finally sit on the business throne she was chosen for. At only 22 years old, Mara must graduate college and bring MK Enterprises back to the thriving company it once was. Fortunately for her though, she has help. And falling for him might be the first time she gets to decide something for herself.

Zachary Taylor has always been reckless, but with age comes maturity, and he is working furiously at making a name for himself. The biggest step forward in his career is when Mara Killian, daughter of the CEO of MK Enterprises, hires him to work as a consultant to help the company back into the light after her brother brought failure and scandal.

As if that isn't enough pressure, Zach is working side-by-side with Mara, who's gorgeous and determined and the daughter of arguably the most powerful man in New York City. And it seems that this woman might be pushing him towards recklessness again.
