His violet eyes glow in the dark. They glint in a unpleasant way. He takes another step toward me. His hot breath warms my face and I consider my options. Caleb taught me to fight, Jake taught me to find weakness, Anna taught me how to think under pressure. I should be able to handle this. I consider thrusting my palm up and breaking his nose. The pain should stagger him and it would give me time to run away and find Charlie.

Charlie. What happened to you?

He grabs my wrists and pins them to my sides. "You know who you are, correct Miss Claire Fitch?" He breathes on my face. I try to wiggle free. His hands are strong and are like a inescapable vise. Binding my hands together. I can fell my pulse from the inside of my other hand. "You would have never reached the Simulator in time anyway. You are weak." I know I haven't been injured but his words cut into me like a hot knife. I hold back tears in my throat that are making it really hard to breathe.
"Get away from me." I tried to pry him off.
"Your know who you are." He stated his hot breath on my face. "Say it. Right now. Out loud." he commanded. My throat clenched. The words formed on my lips but they wouldn't come out. He squeezed my forearm making me wince from the bullet wound.
"Gifted,"

I hope I did that right! Okay. I have been working on publishing other books but this is one of my many focuses right now. I would like to dedicate this to Emma who convinced me to read Divergent and Percy Jackson. This is not a fan fiction. Completely came out of my brain only. :) Please Comment and Vote!!!! I want your input!
