"Leo is the rightful heir, may I ask where Leo is?" Asked an Elder

"Dead" I finished with no emotion in my voice.
The crowd of what was left of my pack gasped and began whispering to each other
"Well I suppose that Wren is the new Alpha then" The Elder answered
"What?! Why me, Kat is the next in line, it's said that the alphas child will take over the position if something happened to the Alpha, not the beta's heir!" Exclaimed Wren
"Kathren is much to young to run a pack, and only a male heir can take the title of Alpha, a female would be too weak" Stated the Elder
It took all I had to not rip out his throat for what he said, but I had lost everything, I was broken
