Roper is a Dúnedan - a Ranger. As a child he was brought up in the Bree-Land, but after the kidnapping of his brother, Gandalf took him away to join his kin in the protection of West: a solemn calling laid upon the descendants of Isildur. From the troubled boarders of the Shire to the growing darkness of Mirkwood, He must learn what it means to be a Ranger - to face hardship and toil and love for the protection of Middle Earth.
While there are well-known characters including Gandalf, Legolas, Tom Bombadil and Golberry, and Elladan and Elrohir, Roper is a completely original character as is Lorellin - a daughter of the Dúnedain whom he works beside - and I am not following any part of LotR or The Hobbit, as this story takes place years before. This is a preliminary draft, and I do appreciate support! Enjoy!

Therith is asked, alongside a hobbit, to join a company of dwarves on their quest to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim what is theirs, unsure if their prize is still guarded by a certain dragon. Will this former loner learn to cope with being around creatures as forward as dwarves and gain their respect and friendship? And who else will she cross paths with and how will they influence her life? Read her story and get to know this mysterious woman and follow what befalls her on their dangerous journey that might just cost them their lives. This story will be split in two parts: The first book follows the events of The Hobbit and the next follows The lord of the Rings. The Lady of the Earth
The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there.
