The wind howled and thorns hidden in the clean-cut grass tore at her bare feet as she ran. Her blue silk dress was torn and stained with red and her black hair flew wildly behind her. She almost had him. One moment of hesitation, a flicker of doubt sparked by a shocking revelation, and Ego, the embodiment of pure evil and the father of her son, slipped through Fury's fiery grasp. Now, haunted by the near miss and the chilling knowledge that her secret is no longer safe, Fury finds herself questioning everything. Why did she hesitate? What hold does this monster have, not only on her past, but potentially on her future? From the shadows emerges Maya, a mysterious being with eyes like smoke and a connection to Fury's very essence. They speak in riddles, their presence both unsettlingly familiar and strangely comforting. Maya sees the storm within Fury, the raw power of the wind that even Fury herself has yet to fully comprehend.
