Lyra Gallin has heard all her life of how witches and wizards are souls of good, and demons cause all evil in the world. When she gets a letter from the school for demons, she takes a few wrong turns in an attempt not to be looked down upon. In doing so, she then realizes that perhaps her world isn't as clear as it seems in this story about not only defeating a villain, but also prejudice. Follow her on her journey to fix her mistakes and her world along with Yelana, a fiery girl who longs for acceptance, Mistria, a girl full of secrets, surprises, and fun, Carmelo, a boy who isn't afraid of standing out, Poroto, a soft-spoken wizard whose curiosity has left him an outcast, and Miracle, a young girl whose past is forgotten.
