Sherlock stood there for a moment, clearly scared, clearly breathing in John's scent like John was breathing in his.

Then they closed the small space that was between their faces.

They stayed like that for longer than they should, possibly. It didn't matter to them. Not at that moment.

John looked peaceful, his head lulling back and hands clasped together in his lap. His mouth was slightly open, and his breathing even. How had he fallen asleep so perfectly? His sharp cheekbones and impossible eyes were undeniably the ones of the breath-taking man he had bumped into on the street earlier.
