Mina crosses the Great Darkness, venturing far beyond the Boundary of Light,  only to find herself caught in a war between two nations. 

In a desperate attempt to find more sources for the Goddess Essence, the Dragon Emperor declares war upon the Island Nation of Mystika. 

In the meantime, the search continues for the missing Empress Miyun who has disappeared in search of her son. Across the sea, in the Island Nation, the young Kulas must assume the throne in the midst of a great conflict and protect his people.

Mina and her companions come face-to-face with a threat far more diabolical than anyone has ever imagined. To make matters worse, Mina's powers seem to be waning the farther she goes past the Boundary of Light.
