In his final stage of life, Kazuhira Miller chose to completely change. From his side and ideology, to his name. He was now McDonell Miller; determined to mentor the comparatively amateurish Solid Snake.
Enough so that he could bring down Big Boss, the man he loved and loathed, once more.

He may be physically repaired, but his broken heart remains completely armored. He knows he can no longer weaken.

Meanwhile, young Snake is in awe of his teacher.
So much so that... his feelings stretch beyond utter admiration.

The bond between the two is complex.
